FSTTCS 2011 organizing committee has made accommodation arrangements for a significant number of registered attendees. Details of accommodation arrangements are given below.

Accommodation for students: All students who registered by Dec 2, 2011 will be provided free hostel accommodation in IIT Bombay student hostels for the duration of the conference (and of workshops, if applicable). Hostel accommodation includes the following facilities:

  • Free breakfast & dinner at hostel dining hall (lunch and tiffin will be available at the conference site)
  • Bed sheets and mattresses
  • Shared washrooms

Accommodation for non-students: A limited number of rooms have been reserved for non-student registered attendees at MTNL Guest House (near IIT Bombay) and at IIT Bombay Guest House. All rooms in both guest houses are on twin-sharing basis. While charges for IIT Bombay Guest House rooms are lower than those for MTNL Guest House rooms, we have far fewer rooms available in IIT Bombay Guest House than in MTNL Guest House. Registered attendees who opted for conference-provided accommodation have been intimated by email about the allotment of Guest House.

Accommodation charges: All charges listed below are per person per night for rooms on a twin-sharing basis.
MTNL Guest House (Non-A/C) Rs. 1050
MTNL Guest House (A/C) Rs. 1250
IIT Bombay Guest House (A/C) Rs. 750
Please note that registration fees for FSTTCS do not include charges for conference provided accommodation. Accommodation charges must be paid separately and in full by the starting date of the conference. Registered attendees will be informed by email about the modalities for payment of accommodation charges, once their accommodation is confirmed.

Transportation: Free transportation between MTNL Guest House and IIT Bombay will be provided at specified hours on conference and satellite workshop days. For those staying in IIT Bombay student hostels or in IIT Bombay Guest House, the conference venue can be reached by a pleasant walk along tree-lined roads. Attendees can also avail IIT Bombay's shuttle service (popularly known as "tum-tum") for traveling within the campus.

Opting out of conference-provided accommodation: Both students and non-students have the option of not availing accommodation provided by the conference. In this case, you must make your own travel arrangements between your hotel and IIT Bombay.
